Privacy Policy

About this policy

This policy explains how KenyaFeed handles information collected through kenyafeed.com, including messages, comments and website activity. For privacy questions or requests, use our Contact page.

Contact messages

When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, subject and message. We use this information to respond to your enquiry, investigate corrections and manage correspondence. The form stores a copy in our WordPress administration area and sends an email notification to the site administrator. Submission records may also include the time, source page, IP address and browser information for administration and abuse prevention.

Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to a marketing mailing list. Please include only information needed for your request.

Comments

If you leave a comment, WordPress collects the details shown in the comment form, together with your IP address and browser information to help identify spam. Approved comments and your chosen display name may be visible to other readers. If profile pictures are enabled, an email-derived identifier may be sent to Gravatar; see Automattic’s privacy policy.

Cookies and technical information

WordPress may use cookies for login sessions, saved comment details and website preferences. Our cookie consent tool may store your choices. Use the cookie controls shown on the site, where available, or your browser settings to manage cookies. Disabling essential cookies can affect site features.

Our hosting and security services may process technical information such as IP addresses, requested pages, browser details and access times to operate and protect the website.

External links and embedded content

Articles may link to or embed content from other services, including YouTube. Opening these links or loading embedded content can allow the provider to receive technical information and use cookies under its own privacy policy. A link to an external website does not mean KenyaFeed controls that provider’s data practices.

Access and service providers

Site administrators can access contact submissions to handle enquiries. Hosting, email and other service providers process information needed to operate their services. Contact notifications are sent to hello@kenyafeed.com and processed by the provider hosting our email service. Providers may process data outside Kenya. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to address misuse or protect legal rights.

Storage and retention

Contact submissions remain in the WordPress database until removed by an administrator; email copies are stored separately in the recipient’s mailbox. Comments and their metadata may remain with the relevant discussion. Backup copies may remain after a record is removed from the live site. Contact us to ask about the information held in your particular case or to request deletion, subject to applicable legal exceptions.

Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, or object to its processing. Send requests through our Contact page with enough information to identify the relevant message or comment. We may need to verify your identity before disclosing or changing personal information.

You can also raise a concern with Kenya’s Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.

Children’s information

If you believe a child has sent personal information that should be removed, contact us with the relevant details so the request can be reviewed.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page when the website’s features or data practices change. The date above indicates the latest revision.
