Kenya Airways Launches Online Duty-Free Shopping with Seat Delivery

Nairobi, November 1, 2026 — Kenya Airways has launched a new digital duty-free shopping service, effective today, allowing passengers to pre-order products up to 40 days before departure and have them delivered directly to their seats onboard. Kbc

The service, operated in partnership with Safari Duty Free under a five-year agreement, replaces the traditional onboard trolley system with a mobile-friendly webstore. Passengers can browse an expanded catalogue of international brands, luxury goods, lifestyle items, travel accessories, fragrances, watches, jewellery, electronics, Kenyan products and gifts from their phones or computers.X

Orders can be placed from 40 days before departure up to 72 hours prior to the flight. Items are then delivered to passengers’ seats during the journey. Prices are up to 15 per cent lower than those at airport duty-free shops. The airline is also offering an additional 5 per cent discount on all webstore purchases until November 30 as a launch promotion. Hivileo

Customers can track their orders and access 24/7 support through the platform, while cabin crew will provide assistance onboard. Payments can be made in Kenyan shillings, US dollars, British pounds and euros via cards or other methods.

Kenya Airways Chief Commercial and Customer Officer Julius Thairu said the move reflects the airline’s commitment to improving the travel experience through greater choice, convenience and value. Safari Duty Free will manage product selection, merchandising, brand partnerships and customer service.

Passengers can access the new Kenya Airways Duty-Free Webstore at www.dutyfree.kenya-airways.com.
