Kalonzo Musyoka Announces Ukombozi Tour Rallies in Migori and Homa Bay

Nairobi, November 3, 2026

Wiper Patriotic Front leader Kalonzo Musyoka has announced a two-day campaign tour of Migori and Homa Bay counties this week as part of his Ukombozi Tour ahead of the 2027 General Election.

The rallies are scheduled for Thursday, November 5, and Friday, November 6, with Kalonzo seeking to build support in Luo Nyanza. The tour follows his recent statements ruling out joining President William Ruto’s government and affirming his intention to contest the presidency.The-star

According to the itinerary released by his campaign:

  • Thursday, November 5 (Migori County): Ntimaru in Kuria at 12:00 pm, Kehancha at 2:00 pm, and the main engagement at Posta Grounds in Migori town at 4:00 pm.
  • Friday, November 6 (Homa Bay County): Visit to the Tom Mboya Mausoleum at 9:30 am, Oyugis town at 1:00 pm, and Kendu Bay at 4:00 pm.

In a message shared on social media, Kalonzo told residents: “Migori and Homa Bay, are you ready? The Ukombozi Tour is coming! Tukutane ground.”X

The visits come as opposition figures intensify grassroots mobilisation in regions traditionally aligned with other political formations. Luo Nyanza remains a significant voting bloc heading into the 2027 contest. Kalonzo has previously expressed interest in stronger engagement in the region as part of broader opposition efforts.

The announcement has drawn mixed reactions online, with some welcoming the outreach and others questioning the substance of the messaging beyond rallies. No major disruptions have been reported in connection with the planned events so far.
